About KDE Disability Africa Foundation
KDE Disability Africa Foundation is a Texas non-profit organization founded in 2015 to improve the lives of people with disabilities in Africa and the US by providing assistive and mobility devices, basic needs, vocational skills and fashion training, and disability inclusion via fashion. In addition, our aim is to provide medical assistance subject to securing medical professional volunteers.
KimmaWreh (an award-winning fashion designer with TeKay Designs) is the President of the Board, KDE Disability Africa Foundation. Mr. Boniface Ihiasota, Vice President of the Board and CEO of KDE Disability Africa Foundation, is the Publisher / CEO of Excel Magazine International, an accredited media house with over 50,000 print circulation in Africa, Europe and US. The Secretary Of The Board and Brand Ambassador for KDE Disability Africa Foundation is Mrs. Nnenna Joy Ugorji, a renowned Human Resources executive.
KDE Disability Africa Foundation – Projects / Community Outreach
- Provide food and clothing to people with disabilities
- Conduct an assessment of needs for people with disabilities
- Provide assertive and mobility devices for people with disabilities such as Wheelchairs, crutches, Canes, motorized equipment / devices for handicapped people, etc.
- Establish a training program that focuses on vocational skills such as sewing, fashion jewelry making for people with disabilities
- Donate a sewing machine or fashion jewelry making kit to students/people with disabilities in the fashion program.
- Organize a self-confidence class for models and others with disabilities.
- Open a center for people with disabilities in Houston Texas and in Africa.
- Produce a disability conference with an awards show and fashion show featuring models with disabilities.
